In the heart of Rwanda, a vision was born—a vision to provide more than just education, but a transformative journey for young minds. Life International Christian Academy (LICA) now Life Roots Schools (LRS) emerged in 2014 as an independent school, registered with the Rwanda Education Board (REB) and Accelerated Education Enterprise (AEE) South Africa. Today, our story is one of growth, dedication, and the divine blessing of expansion.
Founded by a passionate couple Birungi Ronald and Birungi Ram, Life Roots began with a simple yet profound commitment: to glorify God through a Christ-centered, quality education that shapes leaders and disciples of Christ in Rwanda. The first students were none other than the Ronald and Ram’s four children, setting the foundation for a nurturing environment rooted in love, faith, and excellence.
Since those early days, the Life Roots family has grown, embracing students from the tender age of 2 to those embarking on the journey through Grade 12. In 2014, our humble beginnings in Rwanda laid the groundwork for an extraordinary adventure.
Fast forward to 2024, a decade of divine blessings has unfolded. What started as a seed of inspiration in Rwanda has blossomed into a vibrant tree with roots extending to Kampala. With gratitude in our hearts, we proudly announce the expansion of Life Roots into Kampala, Uganda. Life Roots Schools is running and growing smoothly, guided by God’s grace. With His continued guidance, we believe our roots will spread even further into the region, impacting more lives through our commitment to excellence and purpose-driven education.
