CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6

At Life Roots, our existence is a testament to the profound purpose of glorifying God through the provision of a Christ-centered, high-quality education. Our commitment extends beyond imparting knowledge; it encompasses the crucial role we play in assisting parents to nurture leaders and devoted disciples of Christ.
In our view, a school is more than an institution; it’s a sacred space created by humanity for the education and training of our children. At Life Roots, we envision a school environment that not only fosters effective learning but also instills Christian character in our students. We firmly believe in cultivating a sense of doing right because it is right, emphasizing intrinsic values over external rewards.
Within our Christian school, we recognize the natural need for well-defined boundaries governing behavior. The supervisor/monitor in our learning center serves as the authority, a figure to be upheld and respected by both students and their parents.

Expectations for Our Students:

Honesty and personal initiative are not just virtues we preach; they are qualities we expect our students to embody not only in their classwork, and homework but in their everyday life in and out of school. We hold a standard of respect and obedience to definite rules that guide both attitude and action.

Our Philosophical Foundation:

  • There exists a final, absolute truth uniting in the Creator God.
  • This truth finds its revelation in the Bible and is personified in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.
  • Christian education, to us, is a holistic process—centered around Christ and integrating biblical teachings—focused on developing spiritually, mentally, physically, and intellectually
    mature young individuals.
  • The ultimate aim of life, we believe, transcends mere societal adjustment; it is the profound conformity to Christ.
  • This lofty objective is realized through a disciplined life of sacrificial service, mirroring Him who pleased not Himself (Matthew 20:28).

In Summary, Life Roots is not merely an educational institution; it is a nurturing ground for hearts, minds, and spirits. Rooted in our unwavering faith, our philosophy centers on the profound integration of Christian principles in education, shaping individuals into spiritually mature, intellectually vibrant, and morally grounded contributors to society.

Our Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed.
  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; thus, all who believe in Him are justified through His blood.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and advocate.
  7. We believe in “That Blessed Hope”- the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
  8. We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
  9. We believe in the preeminence of the local and visible church, baptism by immersion for believers, and the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper.
  10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
